Every country had to show that they were the best to all the other countries. Since this was happening, everyone wanted to show their best by helping an alliance in war. Many countries including Germany and France doubled the size of their armies. The loss of their loved ones on the battlefield was very disturbing to them. There were millions of people who died during this war.
